Plessing, Hawnah, and Kloree to you all!

Plessing, Hawnah, and Kloree to you all!

Greetings to all of you!  This is an exciting new step for us. This blog will be a place for us to share information regarding our upcoming Messiah performance. But more than times and dates (which I'll makes sure are up here too...) this is meant to be a sort of reference guide to the various tips, tricks, and alterations we make in preparing this amazing work to perform.

It will be a work in progress. I am new to blogging, and won't be too fancy, but I will do my best to be clear.  Each entry is going to be a specific movement of the work, and I will try to update it as we add new touches and make specific instructions.  Supposedly, I will be able to upload images and as such will try to include musical examples as much as possible out of my score.  Fancy, right?

Lastly, I will stress, all of this information is in the guise of helping you as you prepare for our concert.  This does NOT override changes made during rehearsals. The most amazing thing about music is that it is a living, organic structure.  Pieces can feel different from one day to the next, and no two performances will be specifically the same. However, hopefully the notes we provide here will help make things more uniform and allow us all to give our audiences the best musical experience possible!

Thank you so much for joining us, and I cannot wait to continue to grow with you as we explore this amazing masterpiece!
